Why we need speakers Monday

For Norfolk Highlands, CPS has advanced one idea: close a functioning neighborhood school and centralize preschool there. The public still has not been shown the basic cost comparison, formal alternatives analysis, or full impact of moving students into receiving schools. Ask the School Board to pause the plan, publish the analysis, and hold a town hall at Norfolk Highlands where families can ask real-time questions before any vote.

Speaking info: Call the Clerk of the Board’s office at 757-547-1047 before 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13 and ask to speak during the Hearing of Citizens. You can also submit an in-person request to the Deputy Clerk shortly before the meeting, but calling ahead is safer.

How to speak at a meeting

Call 757-547-1047 before noon on the meeting day. Ask to speak during the Hearing of Citizens and give the subject of your remarks.
Arrive early. The backup option is an in-person request to the Deputy Clerk shortly before the meeting, but arriving early avoids problems.
